Elevate Your Outdoor Space
Irrigation Services
A Higher Standard for Irrigation Services
Outdoor Perspective designs, installs, services and winterizes irrigation systems for residential, commercial and athletic properties across Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire. That covers new system design and installation, seasonal start-up and shutdown, head and valve repairs, controller upgrades, and diagnosing the zone that has never worked right since the last contractor left.
A system that runs on a fixed schedule wastes water and drowns half the property. We set controllers by zone, exposure and soil, and adjust them through the season rather than once in May.

Winterization Is Not Optional Here
Every irrigation system in this climate has to be blown out before the first hard freeze, generally late October into November depending on the year. Water left in a lateral line or a backflow preventer freezes, expands and splits the fitting, and the failure doesn’t show up until spring start-up, when it shows up as a flooded lawn and a repair bill.
Massachusetts also requires annual backflow prevention testing on systems connected to a public water supply, and many towns in our service area enforce seasonal outdoor watering restrictions during summer drought declarations. We track both, so your system stays compliant and your controller schedule matches what your town actually allows that month.
Irrigation Questions
When should the system be turned on and shut down?
Start-up in April once the risk of a hard freeze has passed; blowout in late October or November, before the first sustained freeze.
How do I know if I have a leak?
A sudden jump in the water bill, a zone that stays soft between cycles, or heads that weep after the cycle ends. All three are worth a service call.
Can you take over a system another company installed?
Yes. We start with a full zone-by-zone audit so we know what we have inherited before the first start-up.
